Jude gets weighed in on Day 1 after his exciting adventure in alternative birth strategies, posting a hefty 6 pounds, 15.3 ounces. He looks well positioned for the next events involving pooping, sleeping, crying and receiving nutrients from a variety of sources.
Jude made a promising start by "holding it" until he got out, not evacuating his bowels until well clear of the uterus, and avoiding the always troubling miconium.

Yes, we live in the hospital. We three hospital people. Roxanne, David, and our son Jude. We sneek into the empty hospital rooms to sleep at night and steal uneaten food from the trays of sleeping patients who never eat much anyway. Some day we hope to escape to a home of our own, but in the meantime, it's apple juice for all!
